Transformer Technologies is affiliated with G&S Technologies, Kearney, NJ and TCI of Alabama, Pell City, AL. G&S can process equipment previously containing oil up to 499 PPM of PCBs, while TCI is federally approved to process any level of PCBs.

EfficiencyFull truckloads of scrap transformers arrive at our Salem facility in specially designed equipment to guard against accidental discharge of fluids. Surplus electrical equipment is unloaded and prepared for dismantling. Nearly all components are prepared for recycling, insuring the most cost effective method for surplus electrical equipment disposal. TCI of Alabama, Pell City, AlabamaTCI provides environmentally safe dismantling and recycling of oil filled transformers with any level of PCB contamination. The facility is permitted by U.S. EPA and Alabama Dept. of Environmental Management (ADEM) and has operated for 15 years in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Their computer controlled, vapor degreasing process is an economical, responsible alternative to the landfilling of PCB materials. After processing, all metals are available for recycling. G&S Technologies, Kearney, New JerseyG&S has grown into the largest oil filled electrical equipment recycling facility on the East Coast. Their 40,000 square foot facility includes a certified oil test laboratory, permitted reclamation furnace, and 20 ton overhead crane. G&S is federally approved to handle equipment previously containing oil testing up to 499 PPM of PCB. |
