 Avista - SandpointAvista needed to clear a decomissioned substation in Sandpoint, Idaho. Transformer Technologies was hired to remove all transformers, regulators, and OCB's, take down all overhead structures, and clean all material down to the concrete footings. Transformer Technologies provided the work crew, arranged for the crane, and coordinated all transportation. The complete job took less than one week and was performed to the highest environmental and safety standards. |
 Glen Bell SubstationKaiser Aluminum shutdown a facility near Spokane, Washington. Transformer Technologies was contracted to remove all transformers and related equipment that was no longer needed to support the facility. Working within the live substation, Transformer Technologies coordinated with substation personnel to develop the safest, more efficient removal methods. Over 3 months, 13 large transformers, multiple capacitor banks and OCB's, and hundreds of yards of overhead cable were recycled. Afterwards, all support structures and concrete footings were removed and new rock installed to grade. The project was completed safely, on time, and within budget. |
|  Evergreen Aluminum Vancouver, WAEvergreen Aluminum decommissioned and razed an Aluminum Smelter. Evergreen contracted with Transformer Technologies to remove all dielectric fluid and electrical equipment. Over seventy-five transformers, ranging in size from 8,000 pounds to 80,000 pounds, twenty OCB’s, five capacitor banks, three oil tanks, bus bar, cable, wire, control cabinets, and conduit were dismantled and recycled. Transformer Technologies arranged all loading and transportation while mobilizing / demobilizing multiple times to accommodate the demolition schedule. In addition, Transformer Technologies arranged for TCI of Alabama to recycle one PCB Contaminated transformer and numerous PCB Capacitors and potential transformers. |
